Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making this site usable by everyone, how we test it, and how to tell us when something does not work.

Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to use bifrostcode.com, however they browse: with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, voice control or a slow connection.

Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

Among other things, the site:

  • Can be used entirely with a keyboard, with a link to skip to the main content and a focus indicator that is always visible.
  • Uses text with a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 and controls with generous touch targets.
  • Fits screens 320 pixels wide and 200 % zoom without losing content.
  • Respects your system's reduced motion setting and offers a “Pause animations” button in the footer.
  • Keeps its content and the contact form available with JavaScript turned off.

How we test

Every change runs through automated checks before it is published, and we review the site by hand before each release:

  • Automated axe checks on every change, in Chromium, WebKit and an emulated iPhone.
  • A full keyboard walk-through, checking focus order and visibility.
  • Screen reader tests: VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows and TalkBack on Android.
  • Checks at 320 pixels wide, at 200 % zoom and with increased text spacing.

Known limitations

As of the last review we know of no accessibility barriers on the site. If we find one, we will describe it here, with the alternative available and when we expect to fix it.

Client sites linked from the portfolio are not ours and may not meet the same level.

How to report a problem

If something on the site does not work for you or is hard to use, write to [email protected]. Tell us which page you were on, what you were trying to do and, if you like, which browser and assistive technology you use.

We will reply within 5 business days. If you need it, we will send you the information you were looking for in a format that works for you while we fix the problem.
